Ra'anana with kids
Ra'anana is built around families: 152 municipal gans, a city-run tzaharon at each municipal elementary school, a large park with an animal corner, and a municipal centre for babies and toddlers. Gan and school registration happens in a short window early in the year, so plan ahead.

Know the registration windows
For 2026-27, gans and Kita Alef registered online from 19 January to 8 February 2026; the 2027-28 dates were not out on 9 Oct 2026.

Sort out after-school care
Each elementary school's Beit HaTalmid runs a tzaharon for grades 1-3 until 17:00, with lunch and clubs; grades 1-2 are subsidised (Nitzanim).

Find your feet with a baby or toddler
The municipal Ktantanim Center (10 Ofsterland St) runs play sessions, story hours and parent mornings for ages 0-6.

Spend a day in Ra'anana Park
Animal corner, boat and park train, the accessible Friends Park playground and the sensory Garden of Scents and Sounds.

Swim all year
Kiryat HaSport has an indoor heated half-Olympic pool, an outdoor pool (May to October), toddler pools and a swimming school.
